Wildlife surveys show a high percentage of mature bulls, due to a lack of hunting pressures. Many of these moose have never seen a human!
EARLY SEASON "RUT" HUNTS - Calling a rutting bull moose into rifle or bow range
ranks as one of the greatest thrills of North American hunting. We take only a maximum of
4 hunters at a time. Our remote tent camps are accessed only by all terrain vehicle or
boat. We expect a success rate of 75% on bulls 45" and better. Wolves may be taken at
no extra charge. Bears may also be taken for a nominal extra fee.
TROPHY MOOSE RUT HUNT - RIFLE OR BOW - Hunt includes pickup at High Level (airport serviced by commercial flights from Edmonton), travel to and from camp by 4X4, then boat and/or all terrain vehicle. Seven full days of hunting, meals and tent accomodation, trophy care. All meat is brought out. NOW BOOKING FOR 2004. Hunt dates S ept. 21-27, Sept. 29-Oct. 5. PRICE - Two hunters per guide - $US 4000. One hunter per guide $US 4500. Bear - $US 500. Licences and 3.5% tax extra.
LATE SEASON HUNTS - Late season hunts allow moose to be tracked on snow, and
with frozen waterways, access to country that is impassible earlier in the season. Our
remote camps are very comfortable, and accessed only by ATV or snowmobile, depending on
snow conditions. Thousands of square miles of wilderness can be accessed, and the chance
of a really big moose is good. Wolves may be taken at no extra charge. Much of this
area has never been hunted. This is a hunt for those in decent physical shape who are
willing to walk and track, with the possibility of a really big moose at the end.
Maximum 4 hunters in camp.
TROPHY MOOSE LATE SEASON HUNT - RIFLE ONLY - Hunt includes pickup at High Level, transportation to camp and return. Seven full days hunting, comfortable insulated tent camp, all meals, trophy care. NOW BOOKING 2004 - Hunt dates - Nov. 8-14, Nov. 16-22, Nov. 24-Nov. 30. PRICE - Two hunters per guide - $US 3500. One hunter per guide $US 4000. Licence and 3.5% tax extra.
